On February 17, 2026, under the leadership of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan, the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of the city of Yerevan for 2025 were summarized.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Yeghiazar Avagyan, Prosecutor of the city of Yerevan Rafael Manukyan, Prosecutor of the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts Eduard Hovhannisyan, Secretary General of the Prosecutor’s Office Mher Aprikyan, heads of the territorial subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Service and the Investigative Committee, prosecutors of the administrative districts, etc.
While presenting the annual report of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts for 2025, Eduard Hovhannisyan noted that 2,469 criminal proceedings were initiated (2,211 in 2024).
During the reporting period, prosecutors submitted to court 653 criminal proceedings with approved indictments concerning 689 persons (in 2024: 436 criminal proceedings concerning 498 persons).
According to the Prosecutor of the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts, in 2025 courts completed 369 criminal cases concerning 381 persons (in 2024: 268 criminal cases concerning 272 persons).
Referring to studies carried out in the field of state (community) interests protection, Eduard Hovhannisyan informed that they concerned:
According to Eduard Hovhannisyan, in 2025 two claims were filed with the competent court in the field of state interests protection: one demanding recovery of damages amounting to AMD 1,480,684,000 caused to the Yerevan community, and the other demanding invalidation of a decision on the allocation of an apartment in one of the buildings located on Erebuni Street and elimination of its consequences.
