On February 13, 2026, the activities of the Prosecutor's Office of Shirak Region for 2025 were summarized under the leadership of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Aram Aramyan.

The summary meeting was attended by Davit Arushanyan, the Governer of Shirak Region, Armen Chichoyan, the Prosecutor of Shirak Region, Heads of regional structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Service, the Investigative Committee, prosecutors of the prosecutor's office of the region, and others.

Armen Chichoyan, representing the report on the activities of the Prosecutor's Office of Shirak Region for 2025, stated that 2,763 criminal proceedings were initiated (in 2024: 3,297 criminal proceedings).

During the reporting period, 768 criminal proceedings were submitted to the court with indictments approved by prosecutors, regarding 807 persons (in 2024: 520 criminal proceedings regarding 591 persons).

In 2025, 735 criminal cases were completed in the courts, involving 824 persons (in 2024, 522 criminal cases were completed, involving 578 persons).

The damage caused to the state by criminal proceedings amounted to AMD 77 million 160 thousand. In 2025, AMD 21 million 972 thousand was recovered from the damage caused to the state by criminal proceedings.

Referring to the activities carried out in the field of state (community) interests protection, the Prosecutor of Shirak Region reported that AMD 32 million 673 thousand was returned to the Republic of Armenia in 2025.

Besides, according to Armen Chichoyan, 3 lawsuits submitted as a result of studies conducted in the field of state (community) interests protection were accepted for proceedings by the Anti-Corruption Civil and Administrative Courts. The Prosecutor's Office has filed lawsuits demanding the restoration of the ownership rights of the communities of Gyumri, Artik and Amasia to the property located in the Aragats 6 district of Gyumri, the 964.20 square meter building of the former nursery-kindergarten located at 7 Shinararner Street in Artik, and the 2.5813 ha agricultural land located in the Hoghmik settlement of Amasia.
