Within the framework of cooperation between Yerevan State University, Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia and “Armenian Bar Association”, a structural subdivision of the university—the YSU Legal Laboratory—has been established and is currently operating in the administrative building of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The YSU Legal Laboratory is a professional, non-formal platform where joint efforts are made to organize professional discussions, practical work, seminars and conferences on current legal topics, as well as to conduct scientific research.
Students of the Faculty of Law at YSU have the opportunity to conduct research work in the laboratory. In addition, by participating in various scientific discussions held in the laboratory and applying their knowledge in practice, they develop their professional skills.
Babken Harutyunyan, a 4th-year student of the Faculty, who is completing his professional internship at the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, regularly visits the Legal Laboratory. During his internship, gaining knowledge about the structure, functions and specific features of the Prosecutor’s Office, Babken also participates directly in practical work.
“During the internship, we visit the YSU Legal Laboratory almost every day, where all the necessary conditions are available to complete the tasks assigned during our studies. The laboratory allows us to study our professional field in greater depth by providing the necessary theoretical literature, as well as serving as a platform for collaboration and active discussions with leading specialists in the field,” - emphasized the YSU student.
