Former Head of Kanaker-Zeytun community illegally alienated kindergarten № 147: the prosecutor submitted the criminal case to the court

On July 28, 2025, the Prosecutor submitted to the Anti-corruption court the materials of the criminal proceeding and the signed indictment regarding A.K. former Head of Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts of the city of Yerevan, who alienated through waste kindergarten № 147 by the use of his official power.
In the scope of the criminal proceeding examined at the Investigative Committee it was found out that A.K., having the power to manage the property of the company ex officio, being responsible for the alienation of the community-owned property with the surface of 141 m2, located on the first floor of 21A building, Dro Str., city of Yerevan, signed decision № 86 of the community elders on November 10, 2006. According to that decision, the territory of community-owned kindergarten with the surface of 141 m2, without assessing the property, alienated to the LL company (engaged in the entrepreneurial activity) for AMD 1 million 910 thousand 250 (1m2 for AMD 13 thousand 500), however the real market value of the property amounted to AMD 16 million 100 thousand.
On January 24, 2007, a sale and purchase agreement was concluded between A.K., former Head of Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts and LL company, under which the property was alienated to the LL company for AMD 1 million 910 thousand 250.
As a result, A.K. former Head of Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts of the city of Yerevan, using his official power, appropriated the property entrusted to him due to his official position, thus causing damage to the community on a particularly large scale—AMD 14 million 189 thousand 750.
On July 25, 2025, a public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.K. under point 1 of part 3 of article 179 of the Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003.
On the same day the case regarding A.K. was separated and submitted to the Anti-corruption court with the signed indictment on July 28, 2025.
The Prosecutor General’s Office shall submit a claim to the court on the protection of the state (community) interests in the near future.
Notice: A person charged with any crime shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code—by the judgment came into legal force.
