9 830 criminal cases were examined and completed in courts, in 2024 on 10 691 persons (in 2023 – 5080 criminal cases on 5485 persons, in 2022 – 3208 criminal cases on 3690 persons).
Thus, according to the report on the activities of the Prosecutor's Office for 2024, 4750 or 93.5% more cases were examined and completed in courts in 2024 than in 2023.
Out of 7155 criminal cases out of 9830 on 10 691 persons examined and completed in the courts or 72.8% were of medium gravity, 914 or 9.3% serious and 149 or 1.5% particularly serious. 9224 persons were convicted in 8660 criminal cases (in 2023: 4419 persons in 4163 cases, in 2022: 2721 persons in 2387 cases). Out of the mentioned persons, 6650 (in 2023: 2858) or 72.1% were convicted for committing a crime of minor gravity, 1424 (in 2023: 877) or 15.4% were convicted for committing a crime of medium gravity, 995 (in 2023: 600) or 10.8% were convicted for committing a crime of serious gravity, 155 (in 2023: 84) or 1.7% were convicted for committing a crime of particularly serious gravity. Regarding 61 criminal cases on 62 persons were convicted under Article 430 of the Criminal Procedure Code, a medical coercive measure was applied (in 2023, in 43 criminal cases against 44 persons, in 2022, in 28 criminal cases against 29 persons).
