In accordance with part 2 of Article 5 of the Law on the Prosecutor's Office, the Prosecutor General's Office has published the report on its activities for 2024 on its official website.
The report's ten sections present the work carried out within the constitutional powers of the Prosecutor's Office in 2024.
Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, in the preface to the report, particularly noted:
“Dear citizens of the Republic of Armenia,
Dear colleagues,
This is the third year I have the honor of presenting to you the annual report on the activities of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia.
The report outlines the dynamics and results of the Prosecutor's Office as a unified system in 2024. The report includes:
The Prosecutor's Office is attentive to every complaint addressed to it, as well as to every request, message, petition, and demand written in both professional and non-professional language. They are studied, and, if necessary, discussed with citizens during meetings, and, if a legal solution is possible, they are resolved within the scope of the Prosecutor's Office's authority.
The starting point of the solution is the protection of the victim's rights, while public trust is one of the primary indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of the Prosecutor's Office's activities.
The Prosecutor's Office is persistent and uncompromising when the legal issue is related to the return of stolen public goods or property unlawfully removed from the ownership of the state and communities.
The Prosecutor's Office values cooperation based on mutual trust, continuously improving, on international platforms and in professional interactions with foreign partners.
The Prosecutor's Office, ensuring the best interests of the Republic of Armenia, is persistent in its efforts to freeze and return assets taken out of Armenia within the framework of legal assistance.
I am confident that the report on the Prosecutor's Office's activities for 2024 will become a reliable source of study for all partners, especially for legal theorists and practitioners, representatives of civil society, and journalists.
To conclude, I would like to express my gratitude to the prosecutors, the employees of the Prosecutor's Office, and all our partners from the law enforcement and judicial systems, whose dedicated and committed work has allowed us to achieve tangible results in the past year:
The Prosecutor's Office, as a unified system, strives for a high standard of discipline, morality, and professionalism. To reach this standard, one of the essential qualities is selflessness. Selflessness is accessible only to the devoted. The Prosecutor's Office is staffed by, and will continue to be staffed by, devoted individuals working for the welfare of the Republic of Armenia and its citizens.
