On February 20, 2025, the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of Vayots Dzor region during 2024 was summarized under the leadership of Aram Aramyan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

Aspurak Avetisyan, Prosecutor of Vayots Dzor region, Heads of regional offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Security Service and Investigation Committee, prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of the region also participated in the meeting.

Aspurak Avetisyan presented the report on the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of Vayots Dzor region during 2024, referring to the criminal proceedings initiated in the region, criminal proceedings submitted to the court with signed indictments as well as criminal cases completed in the courts.  In this context the Prosecutor of Vayots Dzor region informed that 866 criminal proceedings were initiated in the region during 2024 (638 criminal proceedings during 2023), 185 criminal proceedings regarding 197 individuals  were submitted to the court with signed indictments of the prosecutors (64 criminal proceedings regarding 67 individuals during 2023), 135 criminal cases regarding 138 individuals were completed in the courts during 2024 (42 criminal cases regarding 46 individuals during 2023).

According to Aspurak Avetisyan, damage in the amount of AMD 4 million 600 thousand caused to the state and community was recovered during 2024.

Referring to the results of examinations conducted in the scope of the power of protection of the state and community interests the Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Vayots Dzor region mentioned that 4 statements of claims were submitted to the court during 2024. 

Aram Aramyan, Deputy Prosecutor General gave an assignment to focus on the work implemented in the field of protection of state (community) interests.
