On February 17, 2025, under the leadership of Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, the works of the Prosecutor's Office of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts in 2024 were summarized.
The summary meeting was attended by Yeghiazar Avagyan, Deputy Prosecutor General of Armenia, Rafayel Manukyan, Prosecutor of Yerevan, Gurgan Madoyan, Prosecutor of Erebuni and Nubarashen Administrative Districts, Mher Aprikyan, Secretary General of the Prosecutor's Office, as well as representatives of the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office of the administrative district, and others.
Gurgen Madoyan presented the report on the works of the Prosecutor's Office of Erebuni and Nubarashen Administrative Districts for 2024, inter alia, focusing on the criminal proceedings submitted to the court with an indictment by the prosecutors. According to the Prosecutor of Erebuni and Nubarashen Administrative Districts, during 2024, prosecutors submitted 436 criminal proceedings to the competent court, involving 498 individuals (in 2023: 227 criminal proceedings, involving 259 individuals). In 201 cases completed in the courts of first instance, judgments of conviction were delivered, involving 205 individuals.
Gurgen Madoyan reported that in 2024, within the framework of protecting state and community interests, examinations were conducted regarding the land plots located within the boundaries of parks, squares, and gardens in Erebuni and Nubarashen Administrative Districts of Yerevan, the case of the sale of the former No. 308 kindergarten, as well as the rental of real estate owned by the community. As a result of the examinations, criminal proceedings were initiated, and 6 claims were submitted to the administrative court.
The Prosecutor General of the Republic, inter alia, instructed the prosecutors to continue focusing on the protection of state (municipal) interests in 2025 and to intensify cooperation with law enforcement bodies in combating the illegal circulation of drugs and criminal groups with a criminal subculture.
