On February 12, 2025, under the leadership of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan, the activities of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts of Yerevan City for 2024 were summarized.
The summary meeting was attended by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Yeghiazar Avagyan, Prosecutor of Yerevan City Rafayel Manukyan, the Prosecutor of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts, Sevak Poghosyan, Secretary General of the Prosecutor's Office, Mher Aprikyan, representatives of the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office of the administrative district, and others.
Sevak Poghosyan, the Prosecutor of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts presented the report on the activities of the Prosecutor's Office of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts for 2024, referring, among other things, to the proceedings with indictments submitted to the court by the prosecutors.
According to Sevak Poghosyan 672 criminal proceedings under the supervision of the Prosecutors of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts were submitted to the court with indictments, concerning 731 persons (in 2023, 566 proceedings, concerning 635 persons). In 2024, 585 cases concerning 617 persons were completed in court (in 2023, 382 cases, concerning 402 persons).
The Prosecutor General of the Republic, among other things, instructed the prosecutors to keep the sphere of protection of state (community) interests in the spotlight in 2025 as well; “I read the complaints addressed to us by citizens personally, based on that I clarify my requirements and priorities addressed to you. The personnel policy of the Prosecutor's Office is also carried out based on the assessment of the quality of work of each prosecutor. What do I expect from each prosecutor: not to be indifferent to your work, to be responsible, each proceeding is someone’s fate", noted Anna Vardapetyan, gave instructions and set deadlines in a number of directions.
