The Prosecutor General hosted the students of the Eurasia High School and Young Lawers School

On February 6, 2025, Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, hosted students from the Eurasia High School and the Young Lawyers School of the Eurasia International University.

 

Anna Vardapetyan introduced the priorities of the Prosecutor’s Office to the students in the scope of study visit at the Prosecutor General’s Office aimed at the fight against corruption, confiscation of propery of illegal origin and protection of state and community interests.  

 

In the course of conversation with the students in the format of question-and-answer, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia touched upon the functions and powers of the Prosecutor General's Office, the training and professional requirements foreseen for prosecutors and candidates for prosecutors and personal qualities, including requirements for good conduct.

 

Responding to the question asked by a student regarding the outcomes recorded in the field of confiscation of property of illegal origin, Anna Vardapetyan informed that the first decision on cases of confiscation of property of illegal origin has entered into legal force, on the ground of which the Republic of Armenia received the right of property of 1 apartment located on Vardanants Street, Yerevan and 1 residential house located in Arinj community of Kotayk region. About AMD 22 million, equivalent to 50 thousand 720 euros, was also confiscated in favor of the Republic of Armenia.

 

In the scope of the visit to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the students also made tour at the the Museum of the Prosecutor’s Office and got acquainted with the history of the Prosecutor’s Office.
