The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan City issued a verdict and granted the prosecutor’s motion on the imposition of punishment, sentencing the accused A. M. 7 years of imprisonment.

The prosecutor applied the Court to plead guilty A. M., the Leading Specialist of the Security Department of “Nubarashen” penitentiary institution under Article 309.1, Part 2, Point 4 of the Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003.     

Let’s remind that A. M. was charged for the fact that when he had been holding the position of the Leading Specialist of the Security Department of “Nubarashen” penitentiary institution of the Ministry of Justice since 30 November, 2016, he tortured the accused A. A. with a group of people for the purpose of punishment intentionally causing the latter severe physical pain on 16 March, 2018 from 00:35 to 01:15 o’clock.

Notice:  A person charged with any crime shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code - by the judgment came into legal force.
