The Head of the Conscription Division of the Yerevan Territorial Subdivision N 1 of Conscription and Mobilization Service of the Ministry of Defense received bribe in the amount of AMD 9 million from 3 persons for exempting them from compulsory military service or recognizing as temporarily unfit for military service during June-August 2024. 

In particular, it was found out under the criminal proceeding examined in the Anti-Corruption court that the Head of the Division received bribe from A.T. in the amount of AMD 3 million 880 thousand (USD 10 000), from G.G. in the amount of AMD 3 million 103 thousand (USD 8 000) and from K.E. in the amount of AMD 1 million 938 thousand (USD 5 000).

On September 30, 2024 the prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against the Head of Conscription Division under points 2 and 3 of part 2 of article 435 (3 counts) of the RA Criminal Code. Detention was applied as a measure of restraint against the latter.

On December 6, 2024 the prosecutor signed the indictment and submitted to the Anti-Corruption court with the materials of the criminal proceeding.
