On November 29, 2024, the Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office and declared the purchase and sale agreement, concluded between the Mayor of Yerevan and K.P. on June 20, 2005, invalid. As a result of the annulment of the transaction, the Court obliged K.P. to return to the Yerevan community the 1.286-hectare land parcel adjacent to Lukashin Street in the Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan.
It should be reminded that on February 2, 2023, the Department of State Interests Protection of the Prosecutor General's Office filed a claim demanding to declare the purchase and sale agreement concluded between the Yerevan Mayor and K.P., as well as the registration of K.P.'s ownership rights to the property, invalid. The ground of the claim filed by the Prosecutor General's Office was the fact that the purchase and sale agreement, concluded between the Yerevan Mayor and K.P. on June 20, 2005, contradicted the requirement of Part 8 of Article 56 of the Land Code, as there was no decision by the local self-government body regarding the alienation of the mentioned land parcel.
