Today, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia met the delegation led by John Gallagher, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia.

Anna Vardapetyan greeted the Ambassador and highlighted the importance of similar meetings in the context of strengthening the cooperation between the law enforcement systems of two countries.

John Gallagher thanked Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia for the initiation of the meeting. According to the Ambassador the role of the Prosecutor’s Office is pivotal for ensuring rule of law and stable development in Armenia.

During the meeting Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic represented the priorities of the Prosecutor’s Office to Mr. Gallagher, among them fight against corruption, confiscation of property of illicit origin, fight against the cybercrime, international-legal cooperation in criminal matters, ensuring continues education of prosecutors, etc.

Among other issues the parties agreed to activate cooperation in the field of fight against money laundering and cybercrime.
