The Prosecutor General’s Office requires to confiscate from Vardan Harutyunyan, former Head of the State Revenue Committee 23 immovable properties, 9 transportation means as well as financial means

On May 20 2024 the Anti-corruption court accepted into the proceedings another statement of claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office on the confiscation of property of illicit origin.

 

The Department of Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the Prosecutor General’s Office submitted a claim to the court on confiscating from Vardan Harutyunyan (during 2014–2016, chairman, general director of “Gazprom Armenia” CJSC, member of the Board of Directors of  “Gazprom Armenia” CJSC, Member of “Gazprom Armenia” CJSC  Department, from 2016-2018 Head of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia) and related persons the following:  

 

  • 23 immovable properties;
  • 9 transportation means;
  • Deposit in the amount of USD 473 thousand;
  • Right to claim loans in the amount of USD 6 million 239 thousand and  AMD 219 million 880 thousand;
  • Amount equal to the purchase price (illegal portion) of property bought in London, United Kingdom amounting to AMD 242 million 128 thousand;
  • AMD 1 billion 61 million 438 thousand as a remainder of an income received from the use of property of illicit origin;

 

AMD 4 billion 975 million 318 thousand, which is not substantiated by the lawful income of the person, had an illicit origin and was transferred to the bona fide purchaser or could not be identified.
