The six-month long course on “Development of communication skills and competences of the prosecutors” was summarized: 370 prosecutors participated in it

On November 18, 2023 the Prosecutor General’s Office announced the launch of a course aimed at the development of communication skills and competences of prosecutors of the Republic of Armenia with the help of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Armenia.

 

Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Deputies of the Prosecutor General, Heads of Departments of the Prosecutor General's Office, Prosecutor of Yerevan city and all the prosecutors of the Republic of Armenia participated in the 6-month long course on "Development of communication skills and competences of prosecutors" conducted by the SPRING PR Company (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) selected by the Embassy under the competition procedure. The course aimed at the improvement of communication skills between the prosecutors and citizens as well as between the prosecutors and media representatives.

 

On April 21, 2024, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Deputies of the Prosecutor General and Thymen Kouwenaar, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Armenia participated in the final course of the Program and summarized the results.

 

Anna Vardapetyan thanked Thymen Kouwenaar, Deputy Head of Mission, Larisa Harutyunyan, the Political and Economic Affairs Policy Officer of the Embassy and trainers for the organization and implementation of trainings —rich in content and relevant to the needs of the prosecutors. “One of the principles enshrined in the ECHR case-law is that justice shall not only be administered, but it must also be visible. I would also add, “Justice must also be understandable”. The training organized with the Embassy pursued this aim. We can even measure the results:  The public opinion survey conducted in the Republic of Armenia on December 2023 by IRI’s initiative showed that the Prosecutor's Office improved its position by 8 percentage points in terms of satisfaction index, compared to the survey conducted on March 2023”, mentioned Anna Vardapetyan and hoped that they shall continue the cooperation with the Embassy.

 

According to the assessment of Thymen Kouwenaar, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Netherlands in the Republic of Armenia the cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office was effective, he attached importance to the works implemented by the Prosecutor’s Office aimed at the development of communication skills with the public and thanked the trainers for the skillful implementation of the Project.

 

The Deputy Head of the Mission expressed confidence in continuing the cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Embassy.

 

Nvard Melkonyan, Trainer and Cofounder of the Company thanked Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia and the Embassy for trusting them the organization of the training and highlighted that it was one of the most important Projects for the Company.

 

Tatevik Simonyan, Trainer and Cofounder of the Company highly appreciated the quality and involvement of prosecutors participating in the training and mentioned that the Prosecutor’s Office’s initiative is one characteristic of democratic countries, where mutual communication is very important.

 

After the oral approbation, Anna Vardapetyan awarded Appreciation certificates to the representatives of SPRING PR Company (which successfully organized the trainin), for the contribution in the development of skills, competences and knowledge of prosecutors in the field of public communication, — Nvard Melkonynan and Tatevik Simonyan, Trainers and cofounders of the Company, Mariam Safaryan, PR director of the Company, Marine Grigoryan, representative of the company, manager of the Project, Sofi Javadyan, coordinator, Hakob Makdis, Trainer and Founding Director of Big mind educational center.  

 

Anna Vardapetyan awarded an Appreciation certificate to Larisa Harutyunyan, Political and Economic Affairs Policy Officer of the Embassy for the contribution in the development of cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Armenia.
