G.M. holding the position of the General Director of Armenian nuclear power plant CJSC from 2002-2014, embazzed USD 1 million 27 thousand (AMD 383 million 883 thousand).

Let us remind that on December 22, 2022 the prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against G.M. under point 3 of part 3 of article 256 of the RA Criminal Code. On the same day the decision was submitted to the Main Directorate of Investigation of the National Security Service for the purpose of bringing charges against the latter.

Charges were brought against G.M. on January 31, 2023.

By the preliminary investigation it was substantiated that G.M. holding the position of the General Director of the Armenian nuclear power plant CJSC commited the crime as part of an organized criminal group with the Commercial Director, Deputy General Director, Deputy Engineer and Head of the Legal Department of the same company.

During the preliminary examination AMD 128 million was recovered from the damage caused to the state.

On October 20, 2023, the prosecutor signed the indictment regarding General Director, Commercial Director and Deputy Engineer of Armenian Nuclear Power Plant CJSC and submitted it to the Anti-corruption court with the materials of the case. 

Notice:  A person charged with any crime shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code—by the judgment came into legal force.
