A.E., a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, in a group with other citizens, fraudulently acquired and legalized property of particularly large value with a prior concept and through deception.
In the course of the criminal investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Committee, it was established that citizen A.E. knew and communicated with G.S, the Assistant to A.M., the Judge of the First Instant Court of General Jurisdiction of the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan with regard of different matters, within a long period.
Particularly:
Based on the aforementioned fake documents, in all three cases, applications were submitted to the Court of General Jurisdiction of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan for registration in the Cadastre Committee in order to have an ability to use and manage the land parcels. The cases were assigned to the Judge A.M.
A.E. concealed and distorted the real origin of his share of the land parcels in various civil law transactions, thereby legalizing unlawfully obtained land parcels of particularly large amount — AMD 76 million and AMD 138 million.
Taking into account that the actions of the citizen A.E. contain elements of the crime, on September 15, 2023, the Prosecutor initiated public criminal proceedings against A.E. under Part 3 of Article 178 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (3 counts) and under Point 1 Part 3 of Article 190 (2 counts) of the Criminal Code adopted on April 18, 2003.
By the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court dated September 18, 2023, detention for a period of 2 months was selected as a measure of restraint against A.E.
