In the Prosecutor’s office of Yerevan city, in the scope of the powers of initiating a claim on state (community) interest protection the cadaster cases of the land plots and constructions located at the (former “Park named after Kirov”) Children’s park, Kentron administrative district, were examined.

It was found out by the examination that by the decision of the Mayor of Yerevan dated December 14, 2004, the constructions with the surface of 23.4 m² and 20.0 m², a stage with the surface of 13.1 m², the underground pumping station with the surface of 6.0 m², underground buildings with the surface of 11.2 and 2.2 m², the pond with the surface of 49.0 m² located at a park after Kirov included in the list of restrictions envisaged by article 60 of the Land Code, were recognized as the ownership of A.T., in violation of the requirements of the law. Based on the abovementioned decision of the Mayor of the city of Yerevan a state registration of the right was made in the Cadastre committee, as a result whereof an essential damage was caused to the legitimate interests of the state (community).

Taking into consideration the fact, that during the examination, a case of apparent commission of a crime by the officials of Yerevan Municipality was found, the prosecutor reported the crime to the Anti-corruption committee. 

On August 24, 2023 a criminal proceedings was initiated in the Anti-corruption committee based on part 1 of article 308 of the Criminal code adopted on 18.04.2003.
