On June 29, 2023, with the initiation of the Prosecutor public criminal prosecution was initiated against V.G., Deputy Director of the "Sevan National Park" SNCO during 2016, and director of the same SNCO during 2017, for embezzlement, forgery, fraud and money laundering. 

During the preliminary investigation, it was found that V.G. drew up a false delivery and acceptance protocol, act, within the framework of the purchase agreement signed between SNCO and "Environment and Natural Resources Scientific Research Institute" LLC during 2016-2017, as well as using his official powers, with the help of a group of people, embezzled 3 million 683 thousand AMD from the SNCO.

In addition, within the framework of the purchase agreement signed on July 11, 2017 between SNCO and "Karen Ernest Aghababyan" PE, V.G., with the help of a group of people, embezzled 3 million AMD from the SNCO.

In addition to the above-mentioned, V.G., within the framework of the agreement on the use of financial assistance provided by the state in the form of a grant signed between the SNCO and the Ministry of Nature Protection on October 2, 2017, prepared false reports and fraudulently embezzled 20 million 969 thousand AMD, then laundered particularly large amount of money of criminal origin.

On July 10, 2023, the supervising prosecutor filed a motion with the Anti-Corruption Court to impose detention as a measure of restraint on V.G. On July 11, 2023, the court, partially granted the motion and imposed combined alternative measures of restraint on V.G., that is administrative surveillance and bail for the amount of 10 million AMD.
