Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia made an unannounced visited to Gavar orphanage accomodating 57 children aged 7-18, accompanied by Gagik Ayvazyan, acting prosecutor of Gegharkunik region, during her visit to the region on 20 February.

Anna Vardapetyan, toghether with Naira Khandanyan, director of the Orphanage, walked around the subsidiary buildings, familiarized with the building conditions, visited cafeterias, children entertainment rooms, bedrooms and talked with alumni of the orphanage.

The Prosecutor General highlighted that unannounced visits to orphanages and care centers will continue, and she will regularly visit residential care homes, care centers for people with health problems to familiarize with building conditions and to give legal assessment to the possible criminal conduct.

Anna Vardapetyan gave some instructions relate to Gavar Orphanage to the acting prosecutor of Gegharkunik region.
