From February 7, 2026, the start of the process for the regular elections to the National Assembly, up to the present, prosecutors have submitted 13 criminal proceedings involving 40 individuals to the competent courts with approved indictments in connection with electoral crimes.
Specifically:
As of June 5, 2026, prosecutors of the Department of Supervision over Legality of Pre-trial Proceedings in the RA Anti-Corruption Committee of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia had approved indictments and submitted to the competent courts 8 criminal proceedings involving 31 individuals in connection with electoral crimes.
These include:
- 1 criminal proceeding against 1 individual accused of two counts of offering electoral bribes and 2 individuals accused of accepting electoral bribes;
- 1 criminal proceeding against 5 individuals accused of three counts of offering electoral bribes, violating the prohibition on charity during the electoral process and accepting electoral bribes;
- 1 criminal proceeding against 2 individuals accused of violating the prohibition on charity and aiding such violation;
- 1 criminal proceeding against 1 individual accused of offering electoral bribes and two counts of materially incentivizing participation in a rally and 1 individual accused of accepting electoral bribes as part of a group;
- 1 criminal proceeding case against 3 individuals accused of obstructing the exercise of electoral rights, as well as attempting and preparing to commit such an offense;
- 1 criminal proceeding against 2 individuals accused of offering electoral bribes, 5 individuals accused of aiding the offering of electoral bribes and 6 individuals accused of accepting electoral bribes;
- 1 criminal proceeding against 1 individual accused of accepting an electoral bribe;
- 1 criminal proceeding against 2 individuals accused of offering electoral bribes.
As of June 5, 2026, prosecutors had also approved indictments and submitted to the competent courts 5 criminal proceedings investigated by the Investigative Committee involving 9 individuals in connection with electoral crimes.
These include:
- 1 criminal proceeding against 2 individuals accused of obstructing the free exercise of electoral rights through threats of violence, acting as a group by prior agreement;
- 1 criminal proceeding involving 1 individual accused of materially incentivizing participation in a rally;
- 1 criminal proceeding against 1 individual accused of coercing participation in a rally through blackmail by using influence arising from official powers;
- 1 criminal proceeding against 1 individual accused of coercing participation in a rally through blackmail;
- 1 criminal proceeding against 4 individuals accused of materially incentivizing participation in a rally and organizing the provision of material incentives for participation in a rally.
