A meeting of the Collegium was held today under the chairmanship of Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, during which the work carried out to date by the working group established at the Prosecutor General’s Office in preparation for the regular National Assembly elections scheduled for June 7, 2026, was discussed.
It should be recalled that the working group's functions are aimed at registering, examining, verifying and forwarding, according to jurisdiction, reports of alleged crimes obstructing the electoral process during the election campaign period, on election day, and on the preceding day, as well as enhancing the effectiveness of prosecutorial oversight over the review of such reports.
By the order of the Prosecutor General, a hotline has been launched at the Prosecutor General’s Office at telephone number 010 511-527. Through the hotline, all individuals and organizations involved in the electoral process, as well as citizens, may provide the Prosecutor General’s Office with factual information regarding alleged crimes obstructing the electoral process. Reports may also be submitted to the official email address of the Prosecutor’s Office or submitted anonymously through the azdararir.am website.
Addressing prosecutors, Anna Vardapetyan emphasized:
“Each of you is required, through your work, to create a clear public understanding that:
Every crime connected with the electoral process, regardless of the number of persons involved, the amount or form of the electoral bribe, the method used to influence voters’ will, or the identity of the participants, will receive a strict criminal-law assessment.
Our work must continue according to the same logic. The result of this process should be zero public tolerance for electoral crimes.”
The Prosecutor General stressed that all electoral offenses will be subject to rigorous criminal prosecution, regardless of their scale or the status of the individuals involved.
