On May 13, 2026, Prosecutor General of the RA Anna Vardapetyan hosted around forty students from the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University.
During a discussion held in a question-and-answer format, Anna Vardapetyan addressed a number of issues related to the constitutional powers of the Prosecutor’s Office and the requirements imposed on prosecutors, particularly professionalism, integrity, restraint, ethics, compassion and dedication. She also answered questions concerning the work carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office in the field of state (community) interests protection and the results achieved in that area.
“A prosecutor, in addition to possessing high professional qualities, must have one important skill — the ability to say “no.” Very often, our conflict with justice stems from the inability to say “no.” In small societies like ours, we are often ashamed to say, “No, it is impossible to display unfair or discriminatory treatment.” Once you violate the balance of that scale even in a single case, you will no longer be able to restore its equilibrium,” Anna Vardapetyan emphasized while answering additional questions from the students.
As part of their visit to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the students of the YSU Faculty of Law had a tour along the Prosecutor’s Office building, visited its museum and also the YSU legal laboratory operating within the administrative building of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
