By the decision of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan, dated January 21, 2026, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against a person holding an autonomous position at the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik region.

Within the framework of the proceedings, it was established that the prosecutor had regularly violated the internal rules of labour discipline, rules of conduct of prosecutors and had failed to perform official duties. 

On March 30, 2026, the results of the disciplinary proceedings were submitted for the consideration of the Ethics Commission under the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

By its decision of April 1, 2026, the Ethics Commission confirmed the existence of a disciplinary violation and the prosecutor’s guilt.

By the decision of the Prosecutor General dated April 2, 2026, a disciplinary penalty of “demotion of a position by one level” was imposed on the person holding an autonomous position in the Prosecutor’s Office Syunik region.
