On October 18, 2025, the General Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit in the Anti-Corruption Court against Areni Community and a physical person of the Vayots Dzor Region with demands to recognize the auction held on October 7, 2011 invalid and to apply the consequences of invalidity.

By the decision dated March 26, 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim of the General Prosecutor's Office. By the decision, the auction held on October 7, 2011 on a land plot with an area of ​​0.12 hectares was declared invalid, and, among other things, the state registration of the ownership of the land plot carried out in the name of an individual was declared invalid.

After the entry into legal force of the decision, the land plot of 0.12 ha will be returned to  Areni Community in the Vayots Dzor Region.
