On March 7, 2026, an expanded session of the Collegium of the Prosecutor’s Office was held under the leadership of Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, during which the Prosecutor’s Office’s activities for 2025 were summarized.

Anna Vardapetyan began the expanded session of the Prosecutor’s Office Collegium with positive news regarding the public rating of the Prosecutor’s Office. According to a public opinion survey conducted in Armenia at the initiative of the International Republican Institute, 43% of citizens of the Republic of Armenia are either “fully satisfied” or “somewhat satisfied” with the work of the Prosecutor’s Office. Compared with the previous survey, the satisfaction rate has increased by 6%. “This, I believe, is an important achievement for us as a unified system and confirms the assertion that justice must not only be carried out but must also be visible and understandable,” noted the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

Summarizing the results of her visits this year to the prosecutor’s offices of the administrative districts of Yerevan and the regions, Anna Vardapetyan emphasized that all the benchmarks set for the work of the departments are being implemented consistently.

Referring to the evaluation of the work of the prosecutor’s offices of the administrative districts of Yerevan and the regions, according to which the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik region ranked first based on the results of the work carried out in 2025, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia congratulated the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik region, and emphasized that this achievement serves as an example of setting a goal and successfully achieving it.

Anna Vardapetyan also congratulated the Prosecutor’s Office of Gegharkunik region and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan, which shared 2nd and 3rd places with equal scores, as well as the Prosecutor’s Office of Lori region, which ranked 4th, and the Prosecutor’s Office of Ararat region, which ranked 5th.

“I cannot fail to emphasize the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of Ararat region, which in 2025 ensured unprecedented indicators and substance in the work carried out, particularly in the field of state interests protection. This does not mean that the work of the other subdivisions is unsatisfactory; it means that our requirements have become stricter and our benchmarks have moved from verbal promises to concrete results. I would like to highlight each of your contributions, the collective work, and reaffirm that this year we will continue to work with the same priorities, placing particular emphasis on crime prevention,” noted the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

Concluding her speech, Anna Vardapetyan addressed all prosecutors operating in the Republic of Armenia: “My request is that we be more responsible, more attentive, and more polite. Today’s challenges are not related only to professionalism; they also concern such a fundamental element as civility. Despite all provocations, the Prosecutor’s Office will always remain polite, respectful and professional.”

During the session, inter alia, the results of an anonymous survey conducted among prosecutors, civil servants in the Prosecutor’s Office, individuals holding discretionary positions, and other employees performing civil work were presented.

At the end of the extended session of the Collegium, a swearing-in ceremony was held for prosecutors who assumed the position of prosecutor for the first time.
