The Prosecutor’s Office demands the confiscation of 4 immovable and movable properties, as well as monetary funds from Valeriy Osipyan, Former Chief of the RA Police in favor of the Republic of Armenia

Another claim filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the confiscation of property of illicit origin has been accepted for proceedings at the Anti-Corruption Court.

 

The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the Prosecutor General’s Office has submitted a claim to the court demanding to confiscate from Valeriy Osipyan, the former Chief of the RA Police and a person affiliated with him in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

 

  • 3 immovable properties located at Yerevan, two whereof are in Kentron Administrative District (the cadastral value approximated to the market value of the properties amounts to AMD 125,580,000);
  • 1 movable property;
  • AMD 48,000,000 as the remaining balance of illicit monetary funds;
  • AMD 8,000,000 which is not substantiated by the person’s lawful income, has an illicit origin, has been transferred to a bona fide acquirer, or cannot be identified and confiscated.
