The Prosecutor's Office demands Vahe Hakobyan, the former NA deputy to confiscate 12 immovable and movable properties, an amount equivalent to about 21 million USD in favor of the Republic of Armenia

The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for proceedings the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office on the confiscation of property of illegal origin.

 

The Department for the Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin of the Prosecutor General's Office has submitted a request to the court to confiscate in favor of the Republic of Armenia from the former Governor of Syunik region, former deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Vahe /father’s name: Albert/ Hakobyan and persons affiliated to him: his wife Elizabet Petrosyan, Vahe Hakobyan's brother Karen Hakobyan, Karen Hakobyan's wife, Vahe Hakobyan's daughters and parents:

 

  • 9 immovable properties;
  • 3 transportation means;
  • participation in legal entities;
  • 4 loan claims in the amount of AMD 122 million 614 thousand in total;
  • 2 bonds in the amount of 741 thousand US dollars in total;
  • 2 deposits in the amount of 240 thousand US dollars in total;
  • AMD 4 billion 524 million 816 thousand as remnant of illegal funds;
  • AMD 2 billion 814 million 926 thousand which is not justified by the legal income of the person, has an illegal origin, was transferred to a bona fide acquirer or cannot be identified and confiscated.
