Under the leadership of Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Aram Aramyan, the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Aragatsotnregion for 2025 were summarized on February 13, 2026.

The summary meeting was attended by the Prosecutor of Aragatsotn Rregion Nikolay Barseghyan, the heads of the regional divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Service and the Investigative Committee, the prosecutors of the regional prosecutor’s office and others.

While presenting the activity report of the Prosecutor’s Office of Aragatsotn region for 2025, Nikolay Barseghyan noted that 2,060 criminal proceedings were initiated (in 2024 — 1,928 criminal proceedings).

During the reporting period, 566 criminal proceedings against 573 individuals were submitted to court with indictments approved by prosecutors (in 2024 — 649 criminal proceedings against 670 individuals).

In 2025, 451 criminal cases concerning 460 individuals were concluded in courts (in 2024 — 658 criminal cases concerning 676 individuals).

The damage caused to the state under criminal proceedings amounted to AMD 185 million 806 thousand. In 2025, AMD 59 million 984 thousand of the damage caused to the state through criminal proceedings was recovered.

Referring to the work carried out in the field of state (community) interests protection, the Prosecutor of the region informed that in 2025, a 4 ha land plot designated as a “specially protected area,” located in the settlement of Orgov, was returned to the Ashtarak community of Aragatsotn region. The market approximated cadastral value is AMD 31 million 680 thousand.
