The Prosecutor General’s Office is demanding to confiscate immovable and movable property, as well as funds from Artur Aghabekyan, the former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, in favor of the Republic of Armenia

The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for proceedings the another appeal filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office referring to the confiscation of property of illicit origin.

 

The Department for the Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin of the Prosecutor General's Office has filed a claim to the court to confiscate from Artur Aleksandri Aghabekyan, the former Deputy Minister of Defense and former Member of the National Assembly of Armenia, as well as his affiliated persons in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

 

  • 3 immovable properties,
  • The right to purchase 4 immovable properties located in Kentron Administrative District of Yerevan.
  • The current market value of 1 immovable property,
  • 3 vehicles,
  • Participation in 4 legal entities,
  • AMD 27,597,000 as the balance as the balance of illegal funds,
  • AMD 8,000,000, which is not justified by legal income, has an illegal origin, was transferred to a bona fide acquirer, or cannot be identified and confiscated.
