The Prosecutor General visited the newly established Data Processing Center at YSU

The Prosecutor General, member of the Board of Trustees of Yerevan State University (YSU) Anna Vardapetyan, at the invitation of YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, together with members of the Board, made a tour along the newly opened research and educational centers and laboratories of the University’s faculties and institutes, as well as renovated classrooms equipped with modern technology.

 

During the visit, members of the YSU Board of Trustees also visited the newly established Data Processing Center, where they were introduced to the capabilities of the supercomputer and the specifics of its application in scientific research and the educational process.

 

The tour of the Board of Trustees began at the Institute of Physics. They visited the Center for Optics and Photonics, whose establishment was carried out within the framework of funding from the RA Committee of Higher Education and Science, the Competitive Innovation Fund, and the YSU. At the YSU Center for Semiconductor Devices and Nanotechnologies, they became acquainted with ongoing research and the possibilities of the existing material and technical base.

 

Subsequently, the Board members visited the Faculty of Biology of YSU, where three newly renovated scientific and educational laboratories equipped with modern devices were opened with YSU funding — the Laboratory of Fungi, Plant Diversity and Bioactivity Assessment, the Laboratory of Histology and Developmental Biology, and the Educational Laboratory of Molecular Genetics. These laboratories were established to ensure more effective conditions for scientific research and to enhance the level of students’ professional training.
