On November 6, 2025, within the framework of her working visit to the Italian Republic, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, met with Pietro Gaeta, Prosecutor General at the Supreme Court of Cassation of Italy.

It should be recalled that during the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding on Enhancing Cooperation is scheduled to be signed between the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia and the Office of the Military Prosecutor General at the Supreme Court of Cassation of the Italian Republic.

Anna Vardapetyan expressed her gratitude to her Italian colleague for the warm reception and noted that the meeting was a valuable opportunity to highlight the joint work carried out so far and to broaden the scope of international legal cooperation in criminal proceedings.

“I am grateful for the documents and procedural actions provided within the framework of mutual legal assistance upon our request. They have been of decisive importance for submitting several criminal cases to court with indictments. I assure you that the requests for legal assistance from the Italian side are being fulfilled with the same diligence and sense of responsibility,” stated the Prosecutor General of Armenia.

The meeting was also attended by Vladimir Karapetyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Italian Republic; Grigor Elizbaryan, Military Prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia, Deputy Prosecutor General and Yeghiazar Avagyan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.
