On April 23, 2025, the Prosecutor’s Office og Syunik Region filed a claim with the Anti-Corruption Court, for declaring invalid the auction held on August 22, 2016, in relation to the 0.89-hectare land plot located in the Alvank community of the Syunik region and for applying the legal consequences of invalidity.

On October 13, 2025, the Anti-Corruption Court held a verdict granting the claim of the Prosecutor’s Office of Syunik Region. By the court’s verdict, the auction held on August 22, 2016, was declared invalid, and, as a consequence, the following were also declared invalid:

• the Decision No. 57-A of the Head of Alvank community dated August 22, 2016;
• the land sale and purchase agreement concluded between the Alvank community and a private individual on August 24, 2016; and
• the state registration of ownership rights made on August 29, 2016, in the names of two private individuals.

After the verdict enters into legal force, the 0.89-hectare land plot located in Alvank settlement will be returned to the Meghri community of the Syunik region.
