More than AMD 1.2 billion worth of property and financial assets will be confiscated from the heirs of Manvel Grigoryan and his affiliated persons in favor of the Republic of Armenia. The Prosecutor's claim has been partially granted

On June 28, 2022, the Prosecutor General's Office filed a claim to the court regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin against the heirs of former National Assembly member Manvel Grigoryan and his affiliated persons.

 

By its verdict of October 10, 2025, the Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the claim filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

 

Specifically, upon the decision entering into legal force, the following properties will be confiscated from the heirs of former National Assembly member Manvel Grigoryan and his affiliated persons in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

 

  1. A plot of land located on Mashtots Street, Vagharshapat community, Armavir Region;
  2. A residential house located on Alaverdyan Street, Vagharshapat community;
  3. An unfinished residential house located in Arshaluys community, Armavir Province;
  4. A residential house on Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan Street, Vagharshapat community;
  5. A residential house in the Andranik district, Vagharshapat community;
  6. A residential house in the 1st Charents district, Vagharshapat community;
  7. An unfinished residential house in the A. Manukyan district, Vagharshapat community;
  8. A plot of land on 17th Street, Arshaluys settlement, Armavir Province;
  9. A land plot of public-use on Zoravar Andranik Avenue, Mikrorayon district, Hrazdan community, Kotayk Province;
  10. A MAYBACH brand vehicle;
  11. A TOYOTA LC 200 4.0 vehicle, a GAZ 22 vehicle, a GAZ 24 vehicle, a GAZ 24-02 vehicle, and a MOSKVICH 407 vehicle;
  12. The right to claim a loan of AMD 254 million provided to a wine and brandy factory;
  13. The right to claim a loan of AMD 33 million provided to an open joint-stock company;
  14. A deposit of approximately USD 9,000 in two banks;
  15. The right to claim a loan of AMD 14,592,000 provided to an open joint-stock company;
  16. The right to claim a loan of AMD 4,777,000 provided to the “Grigor Lusavorich” University of Etchmiadzin;
  17. A 15.9456% share in a limited liability company;
  18. Bank deposits amounting to AMD 14,715,000 and USD 300;
  19. AMD 224,000 identified as expenses not justified by legal income;
  20. AMD 14,654,000 identified as remaining illegal financial assets.

 

The Prosecutor General’s Office will file an appeal regarding the part of the claim that was rejected.
