As a result of a study conducted within the scope of protecting state and community interests by the Prosecutor’s Office of Tavush Region, it was revealed that on November 28, 2014, the Acting Head of the Ijevan community signed a contract granting development rights over a land plot that was a community property.
According to the contract, the developer was granted a 0.03-hectare land plot designated for public development, located adjacent to the city park fountains at 1/91 Spandaryan Street, Ijevan community, for a period of 99 years.
The study revealed that the person granted the development right had used the land in violation of the terms of the contract, having failed to carry out any development.
A letter was sent by the Regional Prosecutor to the Head of the Ijevan community, requesting the termination of the registered development right over the land plot and the return of the property to the community.
As a result of actions taken by the competent bodies of the Ijevan community, the state registration of the development right over the real estate located at 1/91 Spandaryan Street was terminated. The 0.03-hectare land plot adjacent to the city park fountains was returned to the possession and use of the Ijevan community.
