The Prosecutor's Office of Ararat region, in the framework of the authority to protect state (community) interests, examined the documents of the kindergarten building with an area of 625.33 square meters located at the address 23/3 Barekamutyun Street and the land plot with an area of 0.15878 hectares used, transferred to Surenavan settlement of Ararat region in 1997 by ownership right.
It was found out in the result of the study that the former Head of the Surenavan community, K. K., in the absence of grounds for the alienation of the kindergarten building, in a way that misled the members of the community council, as well as the authorized persons of the Cadaster Committee, made unlawful acts in violation of the requirements of the law. In particular, the cadastral value of the community property, AMD 22 million 248 thousand, approximated to the market value. The community kindergarten building with an area of 625.33 square meters and 0.15878 ha of land were alienated to the family of the community head on March 5, 2018 through a formal auction, in the result of which the rights and legal interests of children attending the preschool institution were violated.
The prosecutor applied a motion to the head of Ararat community to cancel the decision to alienate the real estate and take measures to return the property to the community.
Based on the motion, in the result of the measures taken by the competent bodies of Ararat community, the property right of Ararat community to the real estate located at 23/3 Barekamutyan Street, Surenavan settlement, was registered on June 18, 2025.
Actions are underway to initiate criminal proceedings and file a lawsuit within the framework of the authority to protect state (community) interests.
