By the decision of the Anti-Corruption court dated May 26, 2025, Artur Sargsyan, former Head of Sisian community and Deputy of “Armenia” Faction of the RA National Assembly was recognized guilty in the abuse of official powers and commission of official forgery (part 1 of article 308 and part 1 of article 314 of the Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003).

6 other persons (including officials) were recognized guilty by the decision of the Court for complicity in similar actions with Artur Sargsyan.

Charges were brought against Artur Sargsyan for abuse of official powers and commission of official forgery with other persons in the scope of procurement carried out for the needs of the community with the funds of Sisian municipality, as a result whereof property damage in the amount of AMD 3 million 631 thousand was caused to Sisian community.

Due to the lapse of time Artur Sargsyan (father’s name: Lavrent) was released from criminal liability.
