Today Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, met participants of the Human Rights Winter School—25 law students selected through a competitive process from various universities across the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting with the participants of Human Rights Winter School, Anna Vardapetyan referred to the powers of the Prosecutor’s Office, works aimed at continuous improvement of prosecutor’s professional knowledge, requirements for the candidates for prosecutor, which among other things, referred to the professionalism, personal qualities and integrity.
The Prosecutor General referred to the priorities of the Prosecutor’s Office—protection of human rights, fight against corruption, confiscation of property of illicit origin, protection of state and community interests.
The Human Rights Winter School was organized by the initiative of the Human Rights Defender, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Armenia Office. The Winter School was organized in the scope of the “Promotion of Human Rights Protection and Strengthening of National Institutions” program.
In the scope of the visit to the Prosecutor General’s Office the participants of Human Rights Winter School had a tour at the Museum and learned the history of the Prosecutor’s Office.
