On February 24, 2025, the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of Yerevan city during 2024 was summarized under the leadership of Lilit Grigoryan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.
Rafayel Manukyan, Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Yerevan city, prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of Yerevan city and prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Offices of administrative districts also participated in the meeting.
Rafayel Manukyan presented the report on the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of Yerevan city during 2024, referring also to the statistics of initiated proceedings, criminal proceedings submitted to the court as well as completed criminal cases. The Prosecutor of Yerevan city informed that 15 cases of murder(22 cases during 2023), 754 cases of negligent harm to the health due to violation of traffic rules (873 cases during 2023) and 44 cases of fatal accidents due to violation of traffic rules (43 cases during 2023) were recorded in the Yerevan city during 2024.
Rafayel Manukyan informed that 189 cases of using official powers or using influence conditioned thereby to the detriment of state or official interests or exceeding official powers by officials were recorded in the city of Yerevan (266 cases during 2023) during 2024. During the same period 118 cases of receiving bribe, giving bribe or mediation in bribery were recorded in the city of Yerevan (209 cases during 2023).
During 2024, 3697 criminal cases regarding 3996 individuals were submitted to the court with the signed indictments of prosecutors of Yerevan city and administrative districts.
According to Rafayel Manukyan, the damage caused to the state under the criminal proceedings pending at the Investigative Department of Yerevan city and administrative districts of the Yerevan city, amounted to AMD 1 billion 390 million 835 thousand, wherefrom AMD 924 million 915 thousand was recovered.
20 examinations were conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of Yerevan city in the scope of the power of protection of state and community interests and 4 statements of claims were submitted to the court during 2024.
