The decision of the Anti-corruption court on granting the statement of claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office in full entered into legal force.
Pursuant to the abovementioned decision the following shall be confiscated from Suren Gabrielyan (father’s name: Vachik) and related persons in favor of the Republic of Armenia: 1 apartment located at Vardanants Str., city of Yerevan, 1 house located at Arinj community, Kotayk region, with the total market value of those properties amounting to AMD 300 million 650 thousand (about USD 750 thousand) as well as AMD 56 million 667 thousand (about USD 141 thousand) and EUR 50 thousand.
Let us remind that the investigation of the property belonging to Suren Gabrielyan began at the Prosecutor General’s Office on October 9, 2020. The statement of claim was submitted to the Anti-corruption court on April 17, 2023. The statement of claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office was granted in full by the decision of the court dated July 15, 2024.
The decision on granting the motion in full was appealed by respondents by appellate procedure. The appeal was rejected, which was appealed by the respondents by cassation procedure on November 12, 2024.
On January 17, 2025, the Anti-corruption Chamber of the Court of Cassation rendered a decision on leaving the cassation appeal without consideration, thus the decision of the Anti-corruption court dated July 15, 2024, entered into legal force.
