The nurse and baby-sitter of “Children’s Home of Gyumri” SNPO subjected the children of the Center to physical violence: the Prosecutor submitted the materials of the case to the competent court

On January 3, 2025 the Prosecutor signed the indictment regarding N.M.(nurse) and R.H.(baby-sitter) of the “Children’s Home of Gyumri” SNPO and submitted to the competent court with the materials of the case.

 

Under the criminal proceeding examined at the Regional Investigative Department of Shirak, the abovementioned individuals regularly subjected the children of one of the classrooms of the “Children’s Home of Gyumri” SNPO to physical violence and they were also subjected to cruel treatment.

 

It was found out under the criminal proceeding, that N.M. (nurse) and R.H. (baby-sitter), taking advantage of the fact that SNPO beneficiaries cannot protect their interests due to their helpless condition: illness, psychophysiological characteristics, age, physical weakness, etc. regularly hit and committed other violent actions against the children during their shifts in 2024.

 

On December 17, 2024, the Prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against R.M. under points 3 and 6 of part 2 of article 196 of the Criminal Code (causing severe physical pain or severe mental suffering to a person in material or other dependence from the criminal) (3 counts) and N.M. under points 3 and 6 of part 2 of Article 196 of the Criminal Code (4 counts).

 

On January 3, 2025, the signed indictment against R.M. and N.M. was submitted to the competent court with the materials of the case. 

 

Two employees of the “Children’s Home of Gyumri” SNPO, N.M.(nurse) and R.H., (baby-sitter) were dismissed.

 

Notice:  A person charged with any crime shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code—by the judgment came into legal force.
