On December 27, 2024, the prosecutor submitted the criminal proceeding regarding V.S. and A.S., nephews of the former Head of Dilijan community of Tavush region to the Anti-corruption court. V.S. and A.S. were charged with the following crime —they used their alleged influence over the officials and contributed to the alienation of the land plot with the surface of 800m² belonging to Dilijan community to the person they wanted and received USD 16 thousand instead.

Under the criminal proceeding examined at the Anti-corruption committee it was revealed that H.M. told V.S. and A.S that he wanted to purchase a land plot in Dilijan community and they required USD 16 thousand to alienate the land plot to H.M. through auction by using their alleged influence over the officials.

On July 6, 2020, the land plot with the surface of 800m² was put up at auction based on the decision of the former Head of Dilijan community. The starting price was defined AMD 2 million. H.M.’s two relatives participated in the auction and one of them won the auction with AMD 2 million 205 thousand price proposal. After the sale of the land plot A.S. and V.S met H.M., pursuant to the prior agreement and received AMD 7 million 762 thousand (equal to USD 16 thousand) from the latter. 

On November 28, 2024 the prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against A.S. and V.S under point 2 of part 4 of article 311² (use of alleged influence for mercenary purposes. i.e. receiving money in a particularly large-scale) of the Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003.

On December 27, 2024 the prosecutor approved the indictment regarding A.S. and V.S. and submitted to the Anti-corruption court with the materials of the case.
