On March 21, 2024 at 03:56 it was reported from “Heratsi” Hospital Complex № 1 that the driver of a car of unknown make and registration number ran the pedestrian A. G. over. The driver fled the scene and the citizen, who had received bodily injuries was transferred to the hospital, where hours later the latter died.

On march 21, 2024 a criminal proceedings was initiated. At 15:10 of the same day V.A. driver of the car appeared at the body conducting the proceedings and reported that  he ran the pedestrian over with the official car attached to him.

   Pursuant to the decision of the supervising prosecutor dated March 22, 2024, a public criminal prosecution was initiated against V.A. under part 2 of article 342 of the Criminal Code (violating the requirement for ensuring road traffic safety or a rule ensuring safety of road traffic or operation of means of transport, which has negligently caused human death).

On June 17, 2024 complex forensic auto-technical and audiovisual expertise was appointed. On October 22, 2024 expert opinion was received pursuant whereof, in order to ensure  the road traffic safety as well as to prevent the mentioned accident, the driver should not create any obstacle for the pedestrian crossing the carriageway at uncontrolled pedestrian crossing and enable the latter to cross the carriageway.

 Prosecutor signed the indictment regarding V.A. and submitted with the materials of the case, to the Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan on Ocotber 30, 2024.
