The Prosecutor General of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan received the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod.

The delegation has arrived to Armenia to take part in the 34th Session of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS member states to be held in Yerevan.

Anna Vardapetyan welcomed her colleague and attached importance to the bilateral meeting aimed at the discussion of legal issues of interest to the prosecutor's offices of the two countries.

The Prosecutor General of Tajikistan thanked the RA Prosecutor General for the warm reception and underlined his readiness to develop further cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Offices of two countries. In this context Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod suggested to discuss the possibility of signing a document for legal cooperation aimed at exchanging experience.

Let's remind that the session of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the states participating in the Commonwealth of Independent States was last held in the Republic of Armenia in 2007.   

The frame of the 34th Session of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS member states includes issues on crime situation in the CIS member states, legal cooperation in fight against crime, insuring the rule of law, etc.
