Today, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, a ceremonial session of the Collegium was held at the Prosecutor General's Office.

Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan congratulated the employees of the Prosecutor's Office on the occasion of the 33^rd anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Armenia and noted:

“Dear colleagues,

This memorable day is a wonderful opportunity to re-evaluate our mission to serve the homeland.

Independence is not a gift, it is the most serious examination of our responsibility to our generations and our accountability to our ancestors. That examination is evaluated by our work—honest and compassionate work. We, as prosecutors, have an irreplaceable role in our responsibility to our generations and our accountability to our ancestors. Our work serves one goal—strengthening of the legal system of the Republic of Armenia, the stability and consistent development of our country.

The challenges of the modern world have changed and it is possible to overcome them with a change in our thinking, integrity of approaches and honesty of attitude.

Dear colleagues,

Today, on this ceremonial occasion, I would like to first of all congratulate our colleagues who were awarded class ranks and state awards by the decrees of the President of the Republic of Armenia, express my gratitude to them and all our colleagues who, with their dedication, knowledge, professionalism, integrity and honesty, contribute to strengthening our state governed by a rule of law. Thank you for your service.”

At the end of the ceremonial session, by the orders of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, a number of prosecutors and employees of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia were awarded certificates of gratitude, souvenir watches, jubilee medals “The 105^th Anniversary of the RA Prosecutor's Office”, badges “RA Prosecutor’s Office”, monetary rewards, one prosecutor was awarded the rank of First Class Counselor of Justice.
