The Prosecutor has initiated criminal prosecution against the employee of “Eco Building” LTD (hereinafter: Company) for extracting state-owned mineral (sandstone) in different plots of land in Darakert settlement of Masis community without permit to use the subsoil.
It was found out that the employee of the above-mentioned company violating the requirement of the Law on Subsoil law, without having the right to use the subsoil, with the use of special technique, extracted state-owned mineral (sandstone) with a volume of about 4500 cubic meters. Then, aimed at selling the sand mined, moved it to the premises of the asphalt company, where the mentioned 4500 cubic meters of sand was sold to different people, causing damage of about AMD 10 million to the state and the community.
Public criminal prosecution was initiated under Article 281, Part 2, Point 2 of the Criminal Code (Illegal entrepreneurial activity accompanied with infliction of a large damage to the state).
The damage of AMD 10 million caused to the state and community was fully compensated by the Company on 30 July 2024.
The preliminary investigation of criminal proceedings is ongoing.
