The rector and several employees of “Haybusak” University took tuition fees from different individuals from 2013 until 2017 under the pretext of admission to the Ijevan branch of the University.

On May 6, 2024 the prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against S.H., rector and several employees of “Haybusak” University under point 1 of part 3 of article 178 of the Criminal Code adopted on 18.04.2003.

On May 6, 2024, S.H. recovered the damage in the amount of AMD 15 million caused to the victims as a result of the crime.

The preliminary examination is pending.

On June 10, 2024, Rafayel Manukyan, Prosecutor of Yerevan city, submitted a written motion to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports for discussing the issues related to the recognition of the mentioned false diplomas invalid as well as to the lawfulness of licensing of “Haybusak” University LLC and termination of the office of the current rector.
