On December 6, 2023, the Prosecutor General’s Office informed that a public criminal prosecution was initiated against the director of one of the LL Companies engaged in the extraction of minerals (sand) in Ararat region in the land located at Sayat-Nova settlement of Masis community, without having a permission to use the subsoil.

Under the criminal proceedings, it was found that the director of the company, from September 10 to December 5, 2023, violating the requirements of the RA Legislation, without the right to use the subsoil, applying special equipment, extracted about 3000 cubic meters of state-owned mineral (sand), spoiling a land plot with the surface of 1220 m².

The damage in the amount of AMD 13 million 736 thousand caused to the state and community was completely recovered by the company on April 19, 2024. 

The preliminary examination under the criminal proceedings is pending.
