The Department of Combating Economic Crimes of the Prosecutor General’s Office summarized the results of the works aimed at the compensation of damages caused to the state under the criminal proceedings.
During 2023, AMD 32 billion 303 million 526 thousand, constituting a damage caused to the state was returned back to the state in the scope of the criminal proceedings examined under the supervision of the prosecutors of the mentioned department.
During 2023, AMD 17 billion 175 million 71 thousand, constituting a damage caused to the state was returned back to the state in the scope of the resolved criminal proceedings examined under the supervision of the prosecutors of the mentioned department.
For comparison the following should be noted.
- During the first quarter of 2023, AMD 10 billion 494 million 294 thousand was recovered under the pending and resolved criminal proceedings and during the second quarter of 2023—AMD 21 billion 809 million 232 thousand 692. That is the amount of the recovered damage during the second quarter of 2023 is more than twice the amount of damage recovered during the first quarter of 2023.
- The following results were recorded under the resolved criminal proceedings —AMD 2 billion 279 million 263 thousand was recovered during 2022, AMD 5 billion 584 million 138 thousand during 2021, AMD 1 billion 989 million 200 thousand during 2020 and AMD 4 billion 723 million 956 thousand 287 during 2019. That is the amount of the damage that was caused to the state and recovered under the resolved criminal proceedings (AMD 17 billion 175 million 71 thousand) exceeds the total sum (AMD 14 billion 576 million 558 thousand) of the damages recovered under the proceedings resolved during 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022.
